Or is it just me? Even if I just washed the car two days earlier it ALWAYS feels as if it went up a trim level.

It’s called laminar air flow. Less disruptions in the air passing over the boundary layer (thin layer of non-moving air) on the car means you produce much less parasitic drag.

Sometimes I forget just how bright my wheels are until I wash the car. The look brilliant against the deep gloss black.
